Each new product has its develpment process.Maybe now it's weak, but when the first mobile phone came to us, it's also questioned. So with the development of technology, 3D tv will be a trend.

Hi Tom

Great article above and a fair look at whether 3D TV will ultimately “take off” when (as you said) so many people have only recently invested in HD as the new technology. I would agree that it will be hard to convince people to invest in 3D TV so soon after the HD buzz. However, I believe the new 3D TV technology is moving at a very fast rate now. And now with talk of 3D TV without glasses coming onto the market in the near future, the market should hot up. Once the content for the 3D format is increased, then the uptake of 3D TVs will be much bigger.

I'm a great fan of the technology and watching programs that look more realistic so can’t wait for further developments.

Lets not forget the enhanced gaming experience that the technology provides.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the info on DECE...I notice you are not supporting Widevine. Yet they are the DRM used by must of the online services on Blu-Ray and 3D TV sets.

Can you comment on Widevine DRM?

Thanks
